YES! February 2012This February, TV host, comedienne, and now dramatic actress Pokwang proudly welcomes YES! into her newest four-story house in Antipolo City. In her second celebrity home feature with YES!, Pokwang excitedly reveals, “Lagi akong nagmamadaling umuwi ngayon. Siyempre bago ‘yong bahay ko, gusto ko namang ma-enjoy.”

Pokwang’s minimalist house is her second property in Antipolo and took eight months to be completed. The first house was featured in the September 2009 issue of YES! and has since been passed on to one of her siblings.

Open space, breezy atmosphere, and a peaceful view of Antipolo best describe Pokwang’s humble abode. Janet Diquiatco-Torio, Pokwang’s interior designer, painted the house in various hues of oranges, yellows, greens, and cream.

A firm believer of feng shui, Pokwang abides by its conventions and also collects Chinese and animal figurines. Meanwhile, her personal collection of scented candles, colorful gems, coins, Swarovski crystals, and more came mostly from her travels abroad.

Pokwang’s new home is clearly a product of her hard work and a testament to how the former OFW triumphed over life’s hardships with her positive outlook in life and acquired comic skills. “Siguro nga, dahil ‘yong buhay naming mahirap-malungkot, kaya nadadaan na lang sa katatawanan.

Pokwang considers herself a certified  homebody, revealing that she would rather stay at home than “mag-good-time,” as she calls it. “Kasi gusto ko, pag walang trabaho, bahay. Relax. Duster. Tulog.” If her schedule permits, Pokwang loves to cook for her family and shares that the kitchen is one of her favorite parts in the house.  Pokwang also shares memories of her poverty-stricken childhood, her love for daughter Mae and how she still believes that she will meet the one, all in this month’s issue of YES!.

Plus, the February issue of YES! gives you a glimpse of the latest celebrity babies! See the adorable photos of the babies of Oyo and Kristine Sotto, Marc and Danica Pingris, Dominic Ochoa and celebrity makeup artist Denise Go, Rap Fernandez and his non-showbiz girlfriend Leana Go, and more!

YES! also looks back at the showbiz journey of late actor Tyron Perez, and features the travels of Governor Vilma Santos, the beauty queen dreams of Miss World 1st-runner up Gwendoline Ruais, and the Batangas resort of actor Aljur Abrenica.
