Town and Country, one of the biggest names in luxury magazines, will launch its first foreign edition in the Philippines this September. Town and Country is published in the United States by Hearst Magazines, one of the biggest publishers in the world, and the publisher of Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, and O, the Oprah Magazine.
The magazine, which will be targeted at the top 1% of the country's population, will have an audited circulation of 14,000 copies. Most of these copies will be distributed free to class A households in Metro Manila as well as luxury spas, boutiques, clubs, resorts, coffee shops, and hotels. Town and Country's top editor is photographer Monique Villonco; high-end retailer Mia Borromeo is its editor-at-large. Associate Publisher Tara Santos was former Preview editor. Preview's top editor and creative director Pauline Juan and Vince Uy are on board as team editors for luxury.
As of this writing, Town and Country's advertising loads are better than expected. Luxury brands like Bottega Venetta, Tods, Cartier, Gucci, Burberry's, Bally, Furnitalia, and Citigold among many others have already signed up for its maiden issue.
