Summit Media is proud to announce new editors-in-chief for two of its men’s titles. Veteran magazine editor Erwin Romulo steps in as head of Esquire Philippines, which hits newsstands in October 2011, while former Managing Editor Peejo Pilar has taken over leadership of Men’s Health Philippines.

To introduce pioneering men’s magazine Esquire to the Philippine audience, Summit Media brings seasoned magazine veteran and newspaper columnist Erwin Romulo on board. Besides having served as editor-in-chief, editor-at-large, and features editor of various men’s publications, Romulo has his fingers on the pulse of the Esquire male: a smart, classy, and confident man with a successful career and sophisticated tastes.

Romulo says, “My goal is to carry on the legacy that the brand has established since 1933. It'll be the embodiment of our motto: ‘Man at his best.’”

With a target circulation of 15,000, Esquire is poised to become the magazine of choice for discerning Filipino men, full of features and facts on a range of topics, from politics to pop culture, from gadgets to gorgeous women.

Beginning with the July 2011 issue, Men’s Health Philippines also heralds a new leader, in the form of erstwhile Managing Editor Peejo Pilar. Years of experience under the Men’s Health brand have strengthened Pilar’s dedication to inspire men to live their best lives. With an audited circulation of 24,000 copies, Men’s Health will continue to cater to active, performance-driven men who are determined to reach their potential in their physical, mental, and emotional lives.

Under Pilar’s vision, Men’s Health will present stronger cover personalities and more useful and interesting stories. “We want our readers and potential readers to see what we have to offer in terms of nutrition, health, fitness, and even style,” Pilar explains. “Men’s Health is all about improving yourself. That’s what we want to accomplish.”
