Summit’s brands have been capturing more readers in the country and beyond since the launch of their digital editions on Zinio.com. The online newsstand lets tech-savvy, on-the-go, and even abroad-based readers pore over bestselling Summit titles like FHM Philippines, Cosmopolitan Philippines, Preview, and YES! through the convenience of their iPads, Macs, PCs, and laptops.*
Now that the Zinio app has landed on Android devices as well, Summit products are set to reach an even wider audience.
According to a recent study conducted by information technology research company Gartner, Android is the leading operating system in the global smartphone market in the first quarter of 2011, with a formidable market share of 36%.
Summit Media International Distribution Officer for Print and E-magazines Ulyssis Javier believes that being available on Android will reap benefits not just for Summit’s brands, but for advertising partners as well, who will be able to promote their brands to a greater readership. “Android will become even stronger in the tablet market and their share will increase over the next year, that’s why it is important to be there when it happens,” Javier points out.
