Earlier this year, Summit Media and Wattpad, the world’s largest online community of readers and writers, announced a partnership making Summit Books’ Pop Fiction imprint Wattpad’s publishing partner in the Philippines. To kick off the partnership, Summit Media and Wattpad unveil 10 new Filipino writers whose works are set to be published this year.

Along with the unveiling of the 10 authors, Pop Fiction also reveals two exciting new story genres that will complement its already existing Teen and New Adult collections: Cloak, which compiles horror, fantasy, science, and supernatural stories; and Sizzle, which offers erotic fiction.

Set to join Pop Fiction’s quickly growing collection of Teen titles are Girlfriend for Hire by yamyam28, Practicing My First Real Kiss by seeyara, Avah Maldita by simplychummy, and Four Bad Boys and Me by blue_maiden. For the New Adult set, Pop Fiction recently released Mr. Maniac Meets Ms. Pervert by justchin, with The New Boss Is My Husband by purplenayi coming up next. Cloak will feature Montello High by Sielalstreim and Special Section by Onneechan as its debut offerings, while readers can expect Akin Ka! by asherina_kenza and A Wife's Cry by barbsgalicia as Sizzle’s launching titles.

All 10 works have garnered millions of reads on Wattpad, with the authors’ followers numbering in the tens of thousands.

More than 20 million people worldwide have joined Wattpad, with the Philippines as one of Wattpad’s biggest markets. Wattpad stories by Filipino writers that are published by Pop Fiction have gone on to become number one national bestsellers, among them Bianca Bernardino’s She’s Dating the Gangster, which is currently being produced as a Star Cinema film topbilled by teen stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
