Fans of Filipino online fiction are in for a major treat, as Pop: The Official Magazine of Pop Fiction Books invades bookstores and magazine stands nationwide!

Beginning June 2014, this quarterly magazine will bring followers of Summit Books’ online fiction imprint even closer to the stories they hold dear in their hearts. The first issue features in-depth interviews with and exciting trivia from Pop Fiction’s well-loved authors, among them SGwannaB (She’s Dating the Gangster), ilurvbooks (The Bet), girlinlove (Three Words, Eight Letters, Say It, and I’m Yours), shirlengtearjerky (The Despicable Guy), and alyloony (Operation: Break the Casanova’s Heart). Also in the debut issue, Pop revisits the fun that was the first-ever Pop Fiction Festival with snapshots from the hugely successful gathering held last February 8.

Pop gives fans a chance to live out their Pop Fiction fantasies with personality quizzes and style guides to cop their favorite character’s look. Plus, Pop introduces fans to new releases they should get their hands on, and gives them a teaser with excerpts from upcoming books.

The first issue of Pop also offers a sneak peek into the most awaited teen romantic flick of the year, the Star Cinema adaptation of She’s Dating the Gangster starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, which hits theaters nationwide on July 16.

Since its launch in 2013, Pop Fiction has published works previously posted online that have gone on to become national bestsellers. To date, Pop Fiction has produced 32 books, with more books to come following a recent partnership with international online writing community Wattpad that establishes Pop Fiction as Wattpad’s publishing partner in the Philippines.
