Good Housekeeping May 2013As the country’s no. 1 family and home magazine celebrates its 15th year this May, it ups the ante with a fabulous makeover that’s sure to please long-time readers and win over new ones. “In our May 2013 issue—our big 15th anniversary special—Good Housekeeping introduces a brand new look, which re-energizes our familiar content with a fun, fresh energy and plenty of ideas and inspiration,” Good Housekeeping Philippines editor-in-chief Tisha Alvarez-Angluben says.

Fans of Good Housekeeping will instantly notice the dynamic new logo, which now features the word “housekeeping” in a casual cursive. Upon flipping through the pages, readers will discover improved sections—Good Life, Look Good, Feel Good, Good Company, Good Reads, Good Food, and Good House—all tailor-made to aid the modern Filipina mother in living the best life possible, from keeping a wonderful home for her family to looking her most beautiful at any age.

“This revamp speaks to moms not just as parents, but also as women who love beauty, fashion, food, and home—women who want a little something for themselves,” Angluben continues.

The US edition of Good Housekeeping was the first to introduce the makeover, after a study carried out among current and prospective readers revealed that today’s moms are more fun-seeking. The new US Good Housekeeping then became a brighter, happier respite for women, with more visually appealing layouts, shorter articles, larger photos, and bolder colors. As soon as Good Housekeeping’s new face was unveiled in the US in January of this year, ad pages went up by 30 percent, with a 100 percent rise in beauty ad pages alone.

As the new Good Housekeeping delights more mothers in the Philippines, partners and advertisers can expect more opportunities to reach out to a readership that’s bound to grow.
