Every Mother’s Day, Good Housekeeping Philippines and Smart Parenting go out of their way to make mothers feel extra important, extra special, and extra loved. This year is no different, as the leading home and parenting magazines pack the month of May with promos and treats just for mom.

On May 12, Good Housekeeping showered love to moms all over the metro by distributing 15,000 freebie-filled tote bags in 183 participating restaurants. Lucky moms got to bring home back issues of the magazine, as well as samples from Cream-O, Celeteque, Lady’s Choice, and Babyflo.

May is a major month for Good Housekeeping, as it also celebrates its 15th anniversary and debuts a fun and fresh new look this month. Readers were treated to huge e-mag subscription promos via summitnewsstand.com.ph from May 13 to May 19: a one-year subscription to the Zinio edition came with an additional 20% off plus the Good Housekeeping Easy Meals Vol. 8  for free, while a one-year digital subscription to the Apple edition came with an extra 30% price cut.

Smart Parenting also made a big splash over Mother’s Day weekend, gifting moms with free digital editions of the May issue from May 10 to May 12. The May issue proved to be a big hit in virtual shelves, even placing highest among local publications in the iTunes newsstand over Mother’s Day weekend!

Both magazines are made even better with a super treat this May: the Nido SuperMoms supplement. The exclusive insert heralds the new generation of Supermoms—Sharon Cuneta, Barbie Almalbis, Lisa Macuja, Tanya Guerrero, and Pixie Sevilla—and inspires readers by showing how these power parents “live out their passion while giving the best to their families.”  Also in the supplement are helpful articles on the importance of spending time with and bonding with children, insight on the most apt approaches to teaching kids of different temperaments, and messages of gratitude from and plans shared by kids on how they’d make the most of Mother’s Day.
