Good Dog April 2011For dog-loving Filipinos, cuddly canines aren’t just there to guard the home–they are part of the family. As such, they deserve love, attention, and the best care their parents can offer!

Summit Media introduces a new locally-conceived title to its roster of passion brands to help dog owners be the best pet parents they can be. Good Dog magazine is set to hit newsstands with every copy of Good Housekeeping in April 2011.

The maiden issue features the Shih Tzu, the most popular dog breed in the Philippines, on the cover. It also gives a rundown of what to feed and not to feed your dog, names the best vets in the business, and offers tips on how to puppy-proof your home.

Good Dog is the first of its kind in the country, making it a fantastic treat for the growing community of Filipino pet owners. “Because there are more responsible pet owners out there today, there is a need for a local source that can answer their needs and provide them with articles that are relevant to them as pet owners and to their dog’s life and well-being,” Good Dog Editor-in-Chief Maggie Adan says.

By helping readers address common pet conundrums and by featuring the latest pet news, the most reliable pet establishments, tried and tested pet products, and more, Good Dog is poised to be the Filipino pooch-lover’s indispensable guide to everything dog-related.

The first issue of Good Dog is now available with the April issue of Good Housekeeping, with succeeding issues set to come out in July, October, and December. Good Housekeeping will be priced at P125 for the four months it carries the supplement. For the other months, Good Housekeeping will return to its original price of P100.
