Last night, September 4, pop culture history was made as Esquire Philippines launched their Travel issue featuring cover stars The Eraserheads. Held at the Dusit Thani Manila, audiences were treated to the debut of Esquire's much anticipated September issue as well as the premiere of The Eraserheads' two new music videos in over a decade. None other than top director Erik Matti directed the band's videos for "Sabado" and "1995".
Esquire Editor-in-Chief Erwin Romulo took the microphone to thank the band and everyone involved who contributed to this issue, officially starting the night's festivities. The launch party also featured acts from some of Manila's up and coming bands like Ourselves the Elves and Cheats but perhaps the most unexpected act was when some of the country's rock all-stars gathered onstage and started performing songs from The Eraserheads. It was an impromptu set unlike anything before with Pupil's Ely Buendia, Sandwich's Raimund Marasigan, Mike Dizon and Diego Castillo, The Dawn's Buddy Zabala and Sancho, Markus Highway's Marcus Adoro, Pedicab's Diego Mapa, Callilly's Kean Cipriano, Us-2 Evil-0's Quark Henares, Stereodeal's Adrian Arcega, Moonstar88’s Maychelle Baay, and a slew of other OPM icons all together on stage for the very first time.

Later on in the night, lucky members of the audience were not only able to get copies of the highly sought after September issue but also got to have the magazines signed by members of The Eraserheads and Esquire Philippines.
With the debut of The Eraserheads first two music videos in years and an impromptu jam session for the ages, it's safe to say the September issue launch of Esquire Philippines was an event unlike any other.
