Mar09_magcover_Candy.jpgIt’s time to blow out the candles as Candy magazine celebrates its tenth anniversary this March! As a way of thanking its loyal readers, Candy is giving away free Candy charm bracelets with every copy of the March issue. Summit Media associate publisher for teens’ titles Denise Congco says, “For our tenth anniversary, we wanted to give readers something timeless and memorable. It’s also very exciting for our readers to have a special Candy bracelet that they won’t be able to get anywhere else.”

Special Candy charms will also be given free with every issue of Candy from April to June. Once the charms have been completed, Candy girls everywhere can exchange bracelets with their best friends and take the Candy Pledge of Friendship to solidify their bond as best friends. Congco says, “You buy the March issue of Candy to get the free charm bracelet not for yourself, but to give to your best friend. It’s a way of showing her that, just like Candy, she has also been your BFF through the years.” Summit Media publishing assistant for teens titles Isa Sarmiento adds, “The Candy bracelet is also a great accessory that can go with any outfit. It’s perfect for the Candy girl to wear from day to night, and you can even personalize the bracelet by adding other charms that have a special significance for you and your best friend.”

As a thank-you gift for all the support given by advertisers and friends in the media, Candy will also be giving away special Candy jars. Congco says, “The Candy jar is very useful, it can be placed in the office lobby filled with treats –and yes, candies—all year round. All one has to do is keep refilling it, and you can use it over and over.”

It may have been ten years since Candy first broke into newsstands, but it is still every girl’s BFF as the number one teen magazine in the country. Candy editor-in-chief Mia Custodio says, “Candy is there for every aspect of a Candy girl’s life, wherever and whenever she needs us. She can turn to Candy for all the questions she needs answers to, and following Candy’s advice will help her make the most of her teen life and bring out her best self.”

Featuring Bea Alonzo on the cover, the anniversary issue of Candy is packed with features on how to build friendships with boys, how to be a better BFF, how to be your best self, and more. As another treat for Candy girls everywhere, the March issue also has special discount coupons from Candy’s partner establishments.

Also celebrating their respective anniversaries this March are YUMMY magazine and FHM . YUMMY turns two this month and celebrates with over 60 recipes, ideas for a cook-and-eat party, and a rundown of the top food destinations both here and abroad. FHM celebrates its ninth anniversary with a sizzling hot issue featuring the FHM debut of beauty queen and TV host Maggie Wilson.

Candy, YUMMY, and FHM are available in newsstands, bookstores, and supermarkets nationwide.
