Summit Books starts the New Year off on a new high! Two recent releases grab top spots in National Book Store’s and Powerbooks’ lists of Philippine bestsellers for December 2012: The Best of Chico, Delamar, and Gino’s The Morning Rush Top 10: Book 2 at No. 1 and Eat Out Now!: 115 Manila Restaurants We Love at No. 4.
Released in December 2012, the follow-up to The Best of Chico and Delamar’s The Morning Rush Top 10 follows the trajectory of the first volume by shooting to the top of bestseller charts soon after it hit the shelves. The new batch of funnies from the RX 93.1 radio show includes "Top 10 Beki Problems", "Top 10 Bromance Rules", and "Top 10 Date Fails", and even comes with a set of stickers readers can use to dress up the caricatures of hosts Chico Garcia, Delamar Arias, and Gino Quillamor on the cover.
"We’re just so happy that we gave [the readers] enough of what they were familiar with and enough new stuff to get them excited," Chico says in an interview with SPOT.ph."And the reviews are good. So far they’re really crazy about it. What’s also nice is that people who didn’t buy Book 1 are now buying Book 1 because the hype is so strong with Book 2.”
Published in November 2012, Eat Out Now!: 115 Manila Restaurants We Love is a guidebook that reveals over a hundred restaurants with the most mouth-watering dishes, from hole-in-the-wall eateries to fine dining bistros to time-tested favorites. Written by Town and Country Philippines lifestyle editor and SPOT.ph food columnist Alicia Colby-Sy, Eat Out Now! also boasts contributions from culinary connoisseurs JJ Yulo, Joel Binamira, Erwan Heussaff, Cyrene dela Rosa, Sanjeeb Gopaldas, and Noel Ermitaño.
