Buqo

Prepare to change the way you view your local bookstore as Hand.Interactive, Summit Media’s mobile content and solutions arm, launches Buqo--a bookstore, newsstand, and reader in a single app— on the Apple App Store in November.

Buqo is a one-stop digital shop that offers an impressive selection of Philippine magazines, books, and other publications, all readily accessible to iPad users. With Buqo, Filipinos everywhere can now easily find, buy, and read their favorite local literature within a single digital space. “This is especially useful for all the OFWs or Filipinos stationed outside of the Philippines looking for a way to stay connected to ‘what’s in’ in the Philippines,” Hand.Interactive General Manager Harvey Libarnes explains.

Besides carrying all of Summit Media’s top-selling magazine titles, this digital newsstand also allows readers to flip through compilations of Summit’s best branded works, such as Cosmopolitan’s Breakup Survival Guide and Guide to Being Independent, Good Housekeeping’s The Money Manual and Happily Ever After, Men's Health’s Easy Way to Hard Abs and Eat Like A Man, Smart Parenting’s Your Guide To Raising Well-Mannered Kids in Today’s Modern World and The Answer To All Your Yaya Concerns, and YES! specials featuring Kris Aquino and Willie Revillame.

Readers can expect to see a wider array of literary picks in Buqo soon after its November launch. Making their way to Buqo’s virtual shelves are products from other local publishers, such as Hinge Inquirer Publications, PDI Books, Premier Events Plus Group, Bronze Age Media, Adarna House, Shepherd's Voice, Trese Comics, Pocket Comics, Ambush Comics, Kalayaan Comics, Colayco Foundation, and Journalism for Nation Building Foundation, as well as authors Kitty Go, Mina Esguerra, and Geraldine Solon.

Users can start registering for a Buqo account today through www.buqo.ph. As a welcome gift, each early registrant gets four (4) free e-magazines from the digital bookstore. Registered users will be sent an email once Buqo launches and their free e-magazines are available.
