SPIN.ph has become the sports website to beat in the country as it hit the peak of its traffic last month. SPIN’s April 2013 page views totaled 4,978,850, while its unique visits reached 437,967—its highest figures since the site’s launch in June 2012.
SPIN’s soaring stats prove that the website has established a growing community of sports enthusiasts seeking regular sports updates online. While news stories garner the most attention on the site, SPIN has also triumphed in becoming a one-stop shop for Filipino sports fans of all inclinations, with game schedules, game scores, athlete bio-data and stats, opinion columns, feature articles, polls, and a forum keeping readers coming.
SPIN follows the blueprint for success that has made its sister website, PEP.ph, the Philippines’ undisputed leader in entertainment news online. “Just like PEP, the success of SPIN lies in the quality of content and the speed of delivery of this content to readers,” SPIN general manager Marilyn See explains. “For SPIN, editor-in-chief Dodo Catacutan always makes sure that we are the first one to break the news.”
