Andi Eigenmann debuts on Cosmopolitan

It shouldn’t be a surprise that young actress Andi Eigenmann would eventually join show business. She is, after all, the daughter of two veteran actors—Mark Gil and Jaclyn Jose. But did you know that growing up, Andi didn’t even entertain the thought of getting into showbiz? Andi tells Cosmopolitan magazine this September, “I guess it’s because my parents, my kuya [actor Sid Lucero], and my sister [Maxene Eigenmann] have been in the industry before I was, and I know how it is already, so [it seemed] there was no point in trying it out.

It wasn’t until Andi was in high school that she realized she wanted to try out acting. “[But] now that I’m in the industry, it’s an experience and opportunity that I wouldn’t replace for anything,” she says.

This decision has proven to be the right one for Andi. While other newbies have to play support to more popular celebrities before getting a prime role, Andi breaks into show business by top-billing a top-rating teleserye and it looks like her career isn’t slowing down anytime soon. “I barely get to go home. I practically sleep in my car. But I know naman everything will pay off,” shares Andi.

This September, Andi adds another milestone to her CV when she appears on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine.
