Ten stylish ladies make it to this year’s Preview Best-Dressed List
Since 2003, Preview magazine has been selecting ten stylish ladies for its annual Best-Dressed List. Coming up with a Best-Dressed List every year is not an easy process, as Preview editor-in-chief Pauline Suaco-Juan tells the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), “Throughout the year, the editors go out, go to parties, and they look at girls. Occasionally, when we find someone na baka puwede, we ask them. Then we do a style profile, check their closets, and see if they’ll make it.” The result is a roster of ladies whose individual fashion sensibilities make them style icons in their own industries.
The ten ladies who made it to this year’s list are: actress and July cover girl Maricel Soriano, Amazing Race Asia participant and model Paula Taylor, entrepreneur Alex Suarez, model Bea Soriano, real estate executive Divine Lee, dance instructor Georcelle Dapat, wife and mother Kai Lim, U.S.-based fashion blogger Martine Cajucom, designer Melissa Dizon, and fashion stylist Pam Quiñones.

Cosmopolitan covers continue to excite readers
One of the most well-known poses of today is the Cosmopolitan cover pose: a hand on one hip as the other hand flirtatiously raises the skirt to reveal some leg. Add to that the big hair and just a hint of cleavage, you have the cover pose that many young stars have held throughout Cosmo’s twelve years in the Philippines. Today, Cosmo continues to excite readers by featuring not just the up-and-coming young stars in showbiz, but also some of the most controversial stars in the industry.
This July, Cosmopolitan encourages women to face life fearlessly by featuring the controversial Katrina Halili on the cover. Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Zo Aguila points out, “Our readers, just like Katrina, face a lot of drama in their lives. While their cases are not as high profile, the pain brought on by their individual scandals is just as grave.”
