YES! makes publishing history with total circulation of 300,000 copies

YES! Magazine kicked off 2009 with a January issue that featured a 48-page exclusive interview with TV host and entertainer Willie Revillame. Three months into the year, the issue continues to make waves and break records in the history of Philippine publications. To date, the January issue of YES! has been reprinted seven times, bringing its total circulation to 300,000 copies.

It was also the first time that YES! magazine had devoted 85 percent of the entire magazine to just one article. YES! editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon says, “This is the first time in eight years that YES! is doing a full-length feature on Willie Revillame. YES! has never really featured him or his show, and [we felt that] the man’s time has arrived.” The feature showcases four of Willie’s residential properties, his collection of luxury cars, and his yacht, in addition to the no-holds-barred interview that took up seven one-hour back-to-back macro-cassette audiotapes.

Candy Magazine celebrates 10th Anniversary

It’s time to blow out the candles as Candy Magazine celebrates its tenth anniversary this March! As a way of thanking its loyal readers, Candy is giving away free Candy charm bracelets with every copy of the March issue. Summit Media associate publisher for teens’ titles Denise Congco says, “For our tenth anniversary, we wanted to give readers something timeless and memorable. It’s also very exciting for our readers to have a special Candy bracelet that they won’t be able to get anywhere else.”

Special Candy charms will also be given free with every issue of Candy from April to June. Once the charms have been completed, Candy girls everywhere can exchange bracelets with their best friends and take the Candy Pledge of Friendship to solidify their bond as best friends.
