Three Summit websites bag honors at DigitalFilipino Web Awards

Summit Media greets the New Year with a trio of accolades as PEP.ph, Stylebible.ph, and SPOT.ph are proclaimed the best in their categories at the 2011 DigitalFilipino and Search Profile Index Web Awards.

Online entertainment news source PEP.ph bags the DigitalFilipino Web Award for Best Entertainment Website for the second year in a row. The online home of bestselling entertainment magazine YES!, PEP.ph consistently delivers up-to-the minute showbiz news and accurately covers the most controversial issues in the industry.

Also keeping its title for the second consecutive year is Preview’s online counterpart Stylebible.ph, which earns the Best Fashion Website plum. Stylebible.ph keeps its pulse on breakout trends, top beauty picks, cop-worthy celebrity looks, and buzzed-about designers and brands, making it the go-to look-good guide of Filipina fashionistas.

Urban lifestyle authority SPOT.ph is once again named Best Review Website, an honor it has held since 2009. SPOT.ph is Metro Manila’s online pop culture vulture, keeping urbanites in the loop with Top 10 lists, Twitter roundups, establishment features, event listings, movie schedules, and shrewdly-written blogs.

The winners will be presented at the 3rd DigitalFilipino E-Commerce Summit happening on February 24, 2012 at The Peninsula Manila Hotel, Makati City. View the full list of winners here.

The DigitalFilipino and Search Profile Index Web Awards is a project that promotes and increases awareness of the Internet as a venue for business development by identifying and rewarding outstanding Philippine websites. Since 2010, the award-giving body has employed the following criteria to identify exemplary websites: search engine and social media visibility (40%), website traffic and stickiness (40%), and technical performance (20%).

Other Summit sites that have gained DigitalFilipino nods in the past are FemaleNetwork.com (Best Beauty Website, 2007), Candymag.com (Best Magazine Website, 2008), FHM.com.ph (Best Magazine Website, 2010), and TopGear.com.ph (Best Automotive Website, 2010).
