Summit Media launches first-ever graphic novel

Underpass is Summit Media’s first foray into the world of graphic novels. This graphic novel anthology will feature four full-color stories written and crafted by the creators of some of the best graphic novels in the country today: GERRY ALANGUILAN, a full time comic book writer and artist who inks comic books for Marvel (currently Ultimate Avengers) and draws for Boom! Studios; KAJO BALDISIMO, the co-creator and artist of the comic book series “Trese;” DAVID HONTIVEROS, a National Book Award-nominated and Palanca-winning writer; OLIVER M. PULUMBARIT, the writer and artist of the graphic novel "Lexy, Nance & Argus;" IAN STA. MARIA, the co-creator and artist of the graphic novel “Skyworld;” and BUDJETTE TAN, the co-creator and writer of the graphic novel “Trese.”

Retailing for only P250, Underpass will be launched at the 5th Philippine Annual Komiks Convention (KOMIKON) 2009 on 18 October 2009 in SM Megamall. It will be available for sale in bookstores, newsstands, convenience stories and wherever Summit magazines are sold.
