Target Market
Grade school boys and girls, 9-12 years old
- They’re kids between 9-12 years old. They’re fun-loving and eager to experience new things. They are tech-savvy, outspoken, curious, and in-the-know.
- He’s a fifth grade student studying in an exclusive all-boys school. He owns a PSP. His parents reward him with a new game when he gets high grades. His fave section in K-Zone is Game Zone and he talks about the cheats and tips with his friends during recess (when they’re not playing basketball). He also loves to draw the characters he sees in K-Zone. At home, he shows off his smarts to his folks by asking them Did You Know facts he read in KZone. He goes online for a few hours right after coming home. On weekends, he helps mom do the groceries and nonchalantly slips a K-Zone into the shopping cart during check out.
- She’s a fourth grade student studying in an exclusive all-girls school. She’s not a girly girl although she likes the color pink…with black (alright, maybe she’s a little emo). She owns a Nintendo DS (in pink, of course). She has a barkada and keeps in touch with them through SMS and Facebook. She goes online as soon as she gets home. On weekends, she runs with her mom (their weekly exercise) and then accompanies her to the mall. She’s into movies and might just ask her parents to watch that new flick she read about in K-Zone. She usually asks her mom to buy her K-Zone but sometimes she also saves her allowance.

MEET K-LEB
K-Zone’s Loopy Experimental ‘Bot (K-LEB) is K-Zone’s resident mascot. He was created in the K-Zone Secret Research Facility in Uranus, and traveled back in time, where the present K-Zone team adopted him. He’s mischievous and outspoken, who likes to pull pranks on the staff (especially during April) and lives in an overhead compartment in K-Zone’s office. He pops up all over the magazine (even on our website, our Facebook and Twitter accounts) with his trademark smarty-pants comments.
K-Zoners have grown to love K-LEB. They write to him, draw him and even look for him when they come visit us in the office. He even has his own online game in kzone.com.ph called “Green Globs of Fury,” his own comics and t-shirt. Not bad for a ‘bot who regularly needs a squirt of oil or two.
